El Presidente

The Presidential palace is a block down the street from our hotel. This morning we saw a huge crowd in front with horses and the Presidential guard in their 19th century uniforms. We then watched as the changing of the guard was performed while the President  and his distinguished guests looked on from the balcony. The band's played on and the flag was raised as everyone sang the national anthem. It was pretty cool.

Mr. Rafael Correa is quite handsome!! Too bad the shots are a bit far.

Oh wow! Did it remind you of living on St. Dominique just down from the National Assembly?
So great to catch up on your adventures so far!!!
