Cairns, Australia- Jellyfish nets

‎Jellyfish nets are placed in the swimming areas of many Cairns' beaches during the 'stinger season' which generally runs from November through to May/June. The most dangerous are the Chironex jellyfish, which can have up to 15 "ribbon-like" tentacles and are as tall as an average adult. Severe stings may cause victim to stop breathing or their heart to stop!
